Barcelona to remain on F1 calendar until 2032 in rotation with Belgian Grand Prix despite addition of Madrid race

Barcelona was entering the final year of its previous contract to host F1, and the addition of a race in Spanish capital Madrid for 2026 led many to believe the circuit would not be retained.

However it was confirmed on Monday that Barcelona will feature on the calendar in 2028, 2030 and 2032 alongside the Madrid street race, which is a permanent fixture on the calendar.

The Barcelona race will rotate with the Belgian Grand Prix at Spa-Francorchamps, which had last year been confirmed as a host for 2027, 2029 and 2031, along with this season.

The Barcelona event has been renamed the Barcelona-Catalunya Grand Prix, having lost its previous Spanish Grand Prix title to the Madrid race.
