There will be plenty on offer for families during the school half term holidays at Sewerby Hall and Gardens.

The zoo (with several new arrivals recently, and the world famous Rosie the Humboldt penguin),  Welcome Centre, gardens and toilets are all open, and The Clock Tower Café will be open for takeaway only, with outdoor seating, to allow for social distancing.

Speaking about the latest crime statistics released, covering up to December 2020, Assistant Chief Constable Darren Downs said: “I am pleased to say that in Humberside over the last 12 months (to December 2020), we have seen a decrease in total recorded crime (excluding fraud) of 11.6%, larger than the national average of a 9.5% decrease. This is something we are very proud of, and the positive impact this will have had on our communities.

As part of its £12m capital programme of carriageway maintenance works, East Riding of Yorkshire Council intend to undertake carriageway resurfacing and footway resurfacing works costing £650,000 along the C19 between the A614, Main Street, Burton Agnes junction and Kelk Lane Junction near Gransmoor.
