The much-loved Wold Rangers Way Walking Festival returns for its 4th annual edition this June, bringing two weeks of guided walking adventures across the beautiful Yorkshire Wolds. Running from 14th to 27th June 2025, this year’s festival features 15 specially curated walking events, all led by knowledgeable and experienced walk leaders.

Whether you’re a casual stroller or a seasoned rambler, there’s something for everyone. Walks range from gentle 3-mile loops through the countryside to the ultimate challenge: the full 44-mile circular Wold Rangers Way, an epic trek through the landscapes that inspired the festival’s name.
What to Expect:
- 15 guided walks across the two-week programme
- All walks are circular routes, starting and finishing in the same location
- Distances range from 3 miles to 44 miles
- Led by experienced walk leaders who know the area inside out
- A chance to connect with fellow walkers and explore the history and beauty of the Yorkshire Wolds
To help keep the festival safe, sociable, and smoothly run, tickets are required for each event. Spaces are limited, so early booking is essential. Tickets can be secured via the Wold Rangers Way website or by scanning the QR code on the printed programme, which is now available at the Wold Rangers Way start point on Market Place in Driffield.

The Wold Rangers Walking Festival has grown into a local tradition, drawing walkers from across the region to discover the landscapes once traversed by the original “Wold Rangers” – the wandering folk of East Yorkshire.
Thanks go to Driffield Town Council, who’ve helped showcase the event by featuring the walking festival programme on the town’s map board. It’s a perfect starting point for anyone looking to explore Driffield and its surroundings on foot.
