New East Riding SEND services website launches

The new ‘East Riding Local Offer’ website has launched to provide families with a more accessible place for information about SEND support and services.

The website supports families with children and young people who have special educational needs and disabilities (SEND), aged 25 or under.

The new site aims to help families access support at an early stage, reduce barriers between education, health, social care and community support, whilst recognising that every child is different.

Councillor Victoria Aitken, cabinet member for children, families and education said: “Our shared ambition is to ensure that every child and young person with special educational needs and disabilities can thrive, learn, and grow within an inclusive and supportive community. A key part of that is ensuring families know who to contact or where to find information quickly – and the Local Offer website is often that first place for families.

“We will keep gathering feedback from families, to continually improve and ensure the Local Offer is up to date.”

Roadshows will take place for families to feed in their experiences of the new website, and signposting to help and support. Dates and locations can be found on the new Local Offer website: eryc.link/ERlocaloffer
