Model Show to fundraise for Yorkshire Wolds Railway

The Yorkshire Wolds Railway team is gearing up for their annual model railway show on Saturday 14 March. Returning for its 9th year, the event will be held at Driffield’s Rix Pavilion on Driffield Showground from 10am until 4pm.

This year’s show will feature 16 model railways, including many new ones. The show will also have a number of trade stands.

As with previous years, the model show continues to be the main fundraising event for the YWR. All the money raised goes back into keeping the YWR on track.

Entrance to the show costs £10 for adults, whilst children under 16 and YWR members can get in for free.

Phil Robson, Finance Director said:

“The first public running day for the YWR of 2026 will be Sunday 5 April and from then when the site will be open and running trains every Sunday and Bank Holiday Monday until the end of October. Additionally, many special event days have been added to the calendar including opening the site fully every Wednesday during school holidays. All trains run subject to availability and we can’t wait to welcome people back to Fimber Halt!”

The YWR is always keen to involve new people, and anyone interested in becoming a member or volunteering, making a donation or just finding out more can visit the Yorkshire Wolds Railway website or call 01377 338053 for more information.
