Event organisers thanked the drivers and supporters:
“You gave so much time and effort into making such a spectacular display… You bring joy and festive excitement to our local rural communities and we are so thankful for your continued support. To our amazing hosts, Laura and Tim Bell and the whole team of Wilfred Scruton Ltd joined this year by Martin and family at G.M. Stephenson Ltd. Our heartfelt appreciation for sharing your space and working with us.
“To the KPFA organisers – the six volunteer charity trustees – Nicola, John, Al, Marie, Gav and Gill, the Yorkshire Air Ambulance Team East event team, our village leads Anita, Fiona, Helen and Sharon and the 100 volunteer marshals and collectors around the route, who make the event so successful and safe for all. Thank you for giving up your time to make the event safe and enjoyable for all.
“To the thousands of people who turn out to watch, show their appreciation of the event and gave what they could afford along the route, throwing money in a penguin at one of the pubs or sending a special donation.
“You are all truly amazing, thank you and together we have achieved a fantastic amount of money for a vital rural service that literally saves the lives of our friends, neighbours and loved ones.”
