East Riding Festival of Words SpringFest returns in March

Organised by East Riding Libraries, ‘East Riding Festival of Words SpringFest’ will see author talks and workshops at libraries across the county.

The festival is dedicated to celebrating local and northern voices and will give regional authors a platform as well as support to develop their skills.

In Driffield, crime novelist Wes Markin, famous for his series ‘Boldwood’, will talk all things Yorkshire Murders with Hull writer and musician Chris Speck at Driffield Library on Friday, 21 March. Tickets are £5.

Councillor Nick Coultish, East Riding of Yorkshire Council’s cabinet member for culture, leisure and tourism, said: “SpringFest promises to be a successful event with an exciting line-up for everyone to get involved in and I am very happy to see it return this year across the East Riding. I hope residents will come along and enjoy this varied and fascinating programme.”
