Courses to help you be better with money available in the East Riding

East Riding of Yorkshire Council has invested £27,550 to provide further financial literacy courses, both online and at venues across the East Riding. Residents who complete a session are also eligible for a £10 voucher for each course completed.

The East Riding Adult Learning and Employability service will provide ‘Let’s Talk Money’ courses, for any interested resident.

The East Riding of Yorkshire Council’s Adult Learning service offers a variety of support, including qualifications and numeracy skills enhancement.

‘Let’s Talk Money’ will help residents gain a better understanding of their finances and the support networks available to improve financial literacy. They will be available in Cottingham and Goole adult learning centres and partner venues, as well as through online sessions, and consist of four individual three-hour sessions.

Councillor Anne Handley, East Riding of Yorkshire Council leader said, “We’re proud to support lifelong learning in the East Riding and highly encourage all interested East Riding residents to take advantage of these great sessions available.”

The sessions will start from June 2025 and are open for residents to sign up to join.
