Witness appeal to fatal road traffic collision

Humberside Police are appealing for witnesses to a collision which happened on the B1248, Station Road between Lund and Bainton, in the East Riding of Yorkshire that happened at 7.30am yesterday (Wednesday 11 September).

A silver Renault Cleo was travelling north on the B1248 when it was in collision with a Transit van travelling in the opposite direction.

The Cleo sustained extensive damage and both the driver and passenger were injured and taken to hospital.

The passenger, a woman, sadly died of her injuries in hospital yesterday.  The driver, a woman, suffered serious injuries but these are not thought to be life-threatening.

Four men who were travelling in the van were not injured in the collision.

Humberside Police are appealing for anyone who witnessed the collision, that has not already spoken to us, to call us on our non-emergency number 101 quoting log 81 11/09/19.
