New timetable of healthcare services introduced in Driffield

July 19, 2019

NHS East Riding of Yorkshire Clinical Commissioning Group, working with local partners has produced a new directory of services to help local residents in Driffield and surrounding areas know more about the type of health and wellbeing clinics available at Alfred Bean Hospital.

The new directory lists the range of services that can treat a number of conditions including diabetes; ear nose and throat; physiotherapy, foot care; mental health services; pain management; wound care; and much more.

Jane Hawkard said, "We are committed to ensuring community health care services are provided locally to meet the health needs of the people of Driffield. Alfred Bean Hospital provides a variety of health and wellbeing clinics for residents to access, according to their clinical need. This directory will help local people have a better understanding of the types of services available to them on their doorstep.”

Sandra Wilkinson, Chairman of the Alfred Bean Hospital League of Friends and the committee said, “We are delighted the Top to Toe information has been completed.  We hope that in the future the hospital goes from strength to strength.  Our main aim is to carry on fundraising as normal and to continue putting equipment into all areas of the hospital.  As always we thank you for your support”.

Copies of the directory are available at Alfred Bean Hospital, local pharmacies and GP practices. For those who prefer online, a downloadable version is available from the East Riding of Yorkshire CCG website –

Referrals to local services are based on appropriateness of an individual’s clinical need and people may still have to travel to main sites dependant on their clinical condition.
