Following an investigation into the death of a fox during a hunt near Driffiled on 31 December 2019, in which it was reported that dogs had been allowed to hunt foxes, two men have now been charged under the 2004 hunting act by Humberside Police.
Christopher Richardson, 72 of Bridlington Road, Brandesburton and Charles Clark, 39 of Garman Carr Lane, Selby have been summoned to appear at court on charges of hunting a wild mammal with dogs and are due to appear in Hull Magistrates Court on Thursday 27 August.
Humberside Police want to reassure our communities that they will not tolerate anyone committing crimes against our protected wildlife and take these matters extremely seriously. Where evidence is found the police will take action against those suspected of committing offences.
