Councillor Mark Blakeston to walk the Wolds Way virtually for charity and you can join in!

Local Councillor, Mark Blakeston talks to Great Driffield Radio about how he is going to walk the Wolds Way virtually and how you can get involved to help raise money for Brain Tumour Research.

The Yorkshire Wolds Way is 79-miles from Hessle Foreshore to Filey Brigg - that’s around 158,000 steps. On May 10th Mark will be walking the Wolds Way again in aid of Brain Tumour Research - but this time covering the route ‘virtually’ around his home and garden and you can join in!

Mark commented:

"Let’s get creative and walk the Wolds Way route virtually - take photos, videos, go-live and post to this Facebook page to share your walk. Starting at Hessle and finishing at Filey, let’s see how you can replicate the villages and sights along the Wolds Way within your route around your home or garden."

If you want to take part, please visit the Walking the Wolds Way for Brain Tumour Research facebook page and click on ‘GOING’ in the event on the page.

The Brain Tumour Research charity needs support now, more than ever, to ensure vital research can continue - so please get involved and donate if you can.
