It's official! Once again Great Driffield Radio is the official radio station for the Driffield Show!

Following the announcement that the 146th Driffield Show will once again be taking place over two days, Wednesday, 20th & Thursday, 21st July the Driffield Show team are delighted to confirm that East Riding’s own Atkinson Action Horses will be the main ring attraction in the Woolley & Parks sponsored Main Ring at the Driffield Show this year.

Atkinson Action Horses have spent over twenty years training horses and riders for both film and tv. With credits from Poldark, Victoria, Peaky Blinders, The Living and the Dead and Hippopotamus – it is guaranteed this elite force has at some point invaded your tv screen.

Visitors to the Show are promised an astounding display of tricks and stunts normally reserved for only tv and the big screen and are advised to be prepared for ‘heart in your mouth’ demonstrations of astounding acrobatics.  The performance will also include a stunning section dedicated to the art of Liberty – displaying the seamless harmony between the horses and their on screen trainers.

The fearless team of stunt riders will be performing their unique display on both days of the 146th Show amongst a packed timetable of equine excellence that everyone now associates with the Driffield Show.

Cheryl Lynch, Society Manager at the Showground said  ‘it is particularly gratifying to be able to welcome a local performer whose attendance at the Show is due to sponsorship received from a local company, Woolley & Parks. Woolley & Parks continued support ensures that we can continue to provide Show visitors with the high calibre of entertainment that they have now come to expect’.

Woolley & Parks Estate Agents opened in Driffield in June 2015 and have sponsored the Show’s prestigious main ring since then.  Following their success in Driffield the award winning Estate Agents have now expanded and have opened a second office in the centre of Beverley. In 2020 they were awarded BEST Estate Agent Guide ‘Exceptional’ for a third year running officially placing them in the top 3% of all Estate Agents nationwide!

Great Driffield Radio will once again be broadcasting LIVE from the show on both days so make sure you tune in to find out what's going on aswell as travel news updates from around the showground. The Great Driffield Radio team will once again be hosting the activity arena and organising the fun mascot race which last year had participants from Humberside Police & East Yorkshire Busses and new for 2022 the Great Driffield Radio Space Hopper Race. Great Driffield Radio's coverage of the Driffield Show will once again be sponsored by Richardson Ford on Westgate in Driffield.
