Bid to secure public access to toilets at Driffield railway station

Driffield Town Council is to contact Network Rail in a bid to secure public access to toilet facilities at Driffield railway station.

Councillors discussed concerns about the lack of nearby public toilets for passengers and visitors.

The meeting was told that the nearest public facilities are a considerable distance from the station, which can be inconvenient — particularly for older residents, families and people with mobility issues.

The council will now write to the rail authority requesting that the station’s toilet facilities be made available for public use.
