An experimental 20mph speed limit zone in Beeford is being considered by East Riding of Yorkshire Council.
The Council describes the proposal as “part of our ongoing commitment to improving road safety and enhancing the quality of life for residents”.
Before making any decisions, they are inviting views on the proposal.
The survey states three aims of a 20 mph zone: improving road safety, enhancing community well-being by encouraging more walking and cycling and reducing traffic noise.
Should the 20mph zone be introduced, new signage and road markings would be installed to remind drivers of the new speed limit.
