Emergency services were called to Colwick County Park at 5.20pm on Wednesday after reports of a 16-year-old boy going missing in the water.
An underwater search team discovered the body just before 8pm.
The boy’s family has been informed, Nottinghamshire Police said.
The death is not being treated as suspicious but a file will be prepared for the coroner.
